Resumo: | The Κατὰ Ἰουλιανοῦ (Or. 4 y 5) by Gregory of Nazianzus are a milestone in the creation of the image of the Apostate, the epithet with which Julian (361-363) has gone down in history, for having disavowed Christian faith. In this article, we carry out a reading of the two speeches from an "anti-hagiographical" angle, analysing the interaction between ψόγος and hagiography from a rhetorical and literary point of view. We will therefore suggest some interpretations of the mechanisms used by late antique rhetoric of sainthood and their function in the 4th century religious transition. |

En este artículo procederemos a una lectura de los dos discursos en clave "antihagiográfica", analizando las interacciones entre ψόγος y hagiografía desde un punto de vista retórico y literario. Así, ofreceremos algunas interpretaciones sobre los mecanismos de la retórica de la santidad en la antigüedad tardía y su función en la transición religiosa del siglo IV.Les Κατὰ Ἰουλιανοῦ de Grégoire Nazianze (Discours 4 et 5) sont un point de référence dans la création de l’image de l’Apostat, épithète par laquelle l’empereur Julien (361-363) est entré dans l’histoire pour avoir renié la foi chrétienne. Dans cet article, nous ferons une lecture des deux discours sous un angle “antihagiographique” et analyserons les interactions entre ưόγος et l’hagiographie du point de vue rhétorique et littéraire. Nous proposerons ainsi quelques interprétations des mécanismes de la rhétorique de la sainteté dans l’Antiquité tardive et de son rôle dans la transition religieuse du IVème siècle.I Κατὰ Ἰουλιανοῦ di Gregorio di Nazianzo (Or. 4 e 5)" di Gregorio di Nazianzo sono una pietra miliare nella creazione dell’immagine dell’Apostata, epiteto con cui l’imperatore Giuliano (361 363) passò alla storia per aver rinnegato la fede cristiana. In questo articolo procederemo a una lettura dei due discorsi in chiave “antiagiografica”, analizzando da un punto di vista retorico e letterario le interazioni tra ψόγος e agiografia. Offriremo così alcune interpretazioni sui meccanismi della retorica della santità della tarda antichità e la sua funzione nella transizione religiosa del IV secolo. Neste artigo procederemos a uma leitura dos dois discursos em chave “anti-hagiográfica”, analisando as interações entre ψόγος e hagiografia do ponto de vista retórico e literário.
