Resumo: This study sought to verify how integral education in Adventist higher education has occurred. To achieve this objective, a field study was conducted in three academic units of the Adventist educational system of higher education with the participation of 400 students and 79 teachers. The instruments used to achieve the objective were a semi-structured questionnaire elaborated with questions for the students and another one for the teachers. The results pointed out that students and teachers understand the importance of body care, and however the campuses offer structure for the practice of physical activities, 48.5% of the students and 54.4% of the teachers do not practice physical activities regularly. Students and teachers are increasingly distant from an active lifestyle, which points to the importance of an integral education approach that encompasses physical development as one of the elements in the student’s formation.
