This article presents the 18th-century writer from Rio Grande do Sul Andradina de Oliveira, who was noted not only for the quality and plurality of her intellectual production, but also undertook through her writing for the defense of women's rights. Little recognized by the official literary historiography, her name was endorsed in magazines and newspapers of the time, of which she also participated as a collaborator, among them Almanaque de Lembranças Luso-Brasileiro (Lisboa) an important yearbook that competed for the development of South-rio-grandense literature, disseminating writings by the 18th century authors.
