Modern work and service: one possible discussion about typologies and definitions

Resumo: The apparent depletion of the explanations for the organization of work rooted in the industrial and post-industrial model is an opportunity to change paradigm and to incorporate (new) concepts in the sociological analyses of work. This article discusses the concept of service in view of several authors and presents their typologies in societies where the service and the sector economically defined as tertiary acquired paramount importance in the economic systems of production and exchange. We believe that a better conceptual understanding and exploration of these authors will be an important conceptual framework for present and future research in the field of sociology of work applied to services.

We believe that a better conceptual understanding and exploration of these authors will be an important conceptual framework for present and future research in the field of sociology of work applied to services.El presunto agotamiento de las explicaciones para la organización del trabajo ancladas en el modelo industrial y pos-industrial constituye una oportunidad de alteración de paradigma y de incorporación de (nuevos) conceptos en los análisis sociológicos del trabajo. En este artículo discutimos la noción de servicio en la perspectiva de diversos autores y presentamos sus tipologías en las sociedades en que el servicio yel sector económicamente definido como terciario adquirieron una preponderancia en los sistemas económicos de producción y de intercambio. Consideramos que una mejor comprensión y exploraciónconceptual de estos autores permitirá basar presentes y futuras  investigaciones en el campo de la sociología del trabajo aplicada a los servicios.L’épuisement apparent des explications de l’organisation du travail ancré dans le modèle industriel et postindustriel est une occasion pour changer de paradigme et pour l’incorporation de (nouveaux) conceptsdans les analyses sociologiques du travail. Cet article traite de la notion de service en vue de plusieurs auteurs et de leurs typologies dans les sociétés où le secteur des services et le secteur économiquement définicomme tertiaire acquit une prépondérance dans les systèmes économiques de production et d’échange.
