Resumo: | This research is a case study and aimed to analyse the pedagogical practices of the Ponte School, specifically the mechanisms of differentiation, as well as the student's autonomy in curricular practices in general and in Physical Education. For this, it was adopted qualitative methods and had as empirical universe the context of a Public School, specifically the Escola da Ponte, located in the municipality of Santo Tirso, Porto district, Portugal. The study analyse the educational project Fazer da Ponte, the daily life of this school, is pedagogical proposal and dynamics in general and of Physical Education in particular. Beside the documentary analysis it was made non-participant observation and semi-structured interviews to the creator of the project, José Pacheco, the Pedagogical Coordinator, Physical Education Teachers (current and from the past), current Students and graduated students. The data were based on a thematic analysis materialized in three main themes: pedagogical work organization; work dynamics and Physical Education pedagogical practices. It was found that the literature describes a real school, with pedagogical and dynamic practices that show up what is was read and observed in school. The methods of responsibility, autonomy and differentiation are present in daily school. The students appear as the protagonists of their own learning. Physical Education classes take place in an excellence area, although divided with another school, São Tomé de Negrelos School, which, in part, influences its distance from the work logic integrated in the Fazer a Ponte project. |
