VIArtes - Resonances between Public Art and HeritageVIArtes - Ressonâncias entre a Arte Pública e o PatrimónioThe purpose of this article is to analyze how the first winning work of art from VIArtes – ViaCatarinaShopping's Public Art program - intersected the heritage of this shopping center. Results of interviews and a laboratory of ideas around the theme of Public Art are presented. A more social analysis of the patrimonial and artistic process is sought, which simultaneously includes the gaze of the public, political power and artists. The question to be answered is to what extent can Public Art take the form of a magnifying glass that magnifies the heritage aspects of buildings dedicated to commerce, either through their architecture (material heritage) or through their uses (intangible heritage). ), with a view to sustainable heritageization of large buildings dedicated to integrated commerce.O objetivo deste artigo é analisar a forma como a primeira obra de arte vencedora do VIArtes – programa de Arte Pública do ViaCatarinaShopping - intersectou o património desse Centro comercial.
