Resumo: | The current project of artistic research and theoretical-practical design focuses on the formulation of a personal concept - the meta-terrain (or meta-ground), which supports an imagery in the form of an installation. The entire conceptual process involves the elaboration and justification of this vision which is accompanied by a metaphorical sensation. The imagery issue, which is expressed in the video, seeks to solve a problem of the exact repetition of an action that, until now, has proven to be impossible to visualize. This narrative intends to confront the spectator with a metamorphosis, visible in the transformation of the action, by the image. Using video and photography, opens up the possibility of an alternative route through an imagery, subjective and spatial journey. The use of these media allows the recording and subsequent visualization, cyclical and homogeneous, of an action that can be 'stretched', until the moment the past action is now part of the present. This process takes place in the metaterrain/ground, space (re)created through the evolutionary symbiosis of Willy Orskov's concepts of 'Vague Grounds' and Marc Augé's 'Non-Places'. The image, which here functions also as matter, is supported by notions of spatiality and temporality, communicants, in close relation with the subject who observes and analyzes them — points of study that are dissected in order to open more places of discussion and possibility within this ground. Issues such as the filling of spaces, the change of time and their relationship with the spectator are key points, which are sought to respond. It is in the practical part of the project that I present the arguments that support my choice regarding the artistic construction of the final pieces, based on the artistic influences that I assume and that allow me to carry a multiplicity of actions from daily life until the expository moment, giving visibility to the final installation |
