Resumo:   Considering the advances and changes in society, especially regarding the integration of technology, it is perceived as necessary to insert these tools in the educational field to benefit the teaching and learning process. This need became even more evident with the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to the closure of schools, making the use of ICT indispensable. The objective of this work is to analyze the pedagogical benefits of using the storyboardthat application in History classes in the 5th year of Elementary School. This research had the collaboration of 15 participants, 14 students from the 5th year of the initial years and a teacher from a private school located in the interior of São Paulo. This is qualitative research with the interpretivist paradigm. To verify the effectiveness of the tool, a survey questionnaire (Google Forms) was applied to the students to characterize the level of technological literacy, and an interview with the class teacher. Then, an activity was carried out in the History class, using the tool to verify whether it facilitated the learning of certain content. Soon after, the participants were asked to evaluate the effectiveness of the pedagogical strategy through a questionnaire and an interview with the teacher. In the end, the study makes it clear that both the students and the teacher are familiar with the technologies and use them at home and in the school environment. They stated that the use of the computer and the internet can improve the teaching and learning process and that, in the History discipline, the support of the storyboardthat application, provided interest to the students and collaborated in the apprehension of the content addressed through the creation of comics.

Tal necessidade tornou-se ainda mais evidente com a pandemia COVID-19, que acarretou o fechamento de escolas, fazendo com que o uso das TIC fosse indispensável. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar os benefícios pedagógicos do uso do aplicativo storyboardthat nas aulas de História do 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental. Esta pesquisa contou com a colaboração de 15 participantes, sendo 14 alunos do 5º ano dos anos iniciais e uma professora de um colégio particular localizado no interior de São Paulo. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa com o paradigma interpretativista. A fim de verificar a eficácia da ferramenta, foi aplicado um questionário de sondagem (Google Forms) aos alunos para caracterizar o nível de letramento tecnológico, e uma entrevista com a professora da turma. Em seguida foi realizada uma atividade, na aula de História, com o uso da referida ferramenta a fim de verificar se ela de fato facilitava ou não a aprendizagem de determinado conteúdo. Logo após, foi requerido dos participantes que avaliassem a efetividade da estratégia pedagógica por meio de um questionário e entrevista à professora. Ao final, o estudo deixa evidente que tanto os alunos como a professora têm familiaridade com as tecnologias e utilizam em casa e no ambiente escolar.
