Resumo: Although the oncologic disease has a low incidence in children than in adults, it has a major complexity and impact , because children are the future. The objectives of this study are: To study the impact of a oncologic disease in diagnostic in children on their family. To study how family cooperate. The authors interviewed the family of children who were admit into a oncologic hospital. Some conclusions: The diagnostic has a negative effect in the family. The family members sometimes are obliged to change the patterns and functions. The brothers and sisters are also affected. The family adopt some adaptive strategies to coop with the health problem. The mothers feelings were diverse depending on child age, family function and therapeutic results.
