Resumo: The article deals with the work of Brazilian artist Lizângela Torres (Brazil, 991), more specifically the series “Night Incursions” when obscure situations are explored through video, photography, design and installations. It is intended to deal with the poetics of projected shadow, and its role as the driver of a plastic work. Melancholy, the alliance with the night, and the negative will be linked to the myth of the origin of the painting of Pliny the Elder. It is where the desire for figuration of this shadow can give shape to our ghosts
