Pierangelo Sequeri e o primado da dimensão simbólica na Estética

In this article the author relieves the importance of the symbolic dimension in the aesthetic experience, according to Pierangelo Sequeri’s thought. It is reviewed the main aesthetic conceptions of the OT, particularly those contained in terms as tôb, Kabôd and Kalòs, comparing Hebraic and Greek aesthetics. The author relieves the conception of a Christian aesthetics in Sequeri’s thought as a process of the subject, more than an objective aesthetics. So there is a convergence between interior and exterior senses, between aesthetic, pedagogical and moral insight. In particular, the symbol is the element of unity between all these factors and between the phenomenological experience and the aesthetic experience.
