Na terceira parte, este trabalho contém a Monografia intitulada "Polymeric Micelles: A promising pathway for dermal drug delivery". A nanotecnologia é uma área em grande desenvolvimento e com aplicação nos mais variados campos da ciência. Em produtos cosméticos e farmacêuticos, as formulações convencionais para aplicação tópica nem sempre conseguem penetrar de forma eficaz a barreira física que a pele humana exerce contra fatores e compostos do ambiente exterior. As micelas poliméricas surgem como uma alternativa para veiculação de fármacos e ingredientes ativos, permitindo que também ingredientes com menor solubilidade e mais lipofílicos sejam veiculados. De facto, o aumento da biodisponibilidade dos fármacos, a maior eficácia mesmo com menor dose e a entrega seletiva em organelos específicos são vantagens muito interessantes da utilização de micelas poliméricas em aplicação cutânea, permitindo ainda reduzir muitos dos efeitos adversos locais e sistémicos, o que resulta num aumento da adesão à terapêutica por parte do paciente, constituindo uma alternativa promissora relativamente às formulações convencionais.Within the scope of the Curricular Internship of the Integrated Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra, this work presents in the form of a SWOT Analisis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) the internship reports concerning the Curricular Intership in Community Pharmacy in Farmácia Alves and the Curricular Intership in the Quality & Research Department of SONAE MC. In the third part, this work presents the Monograph entitled "Polymeric Micelles: A promising pathway for dermal drug delivery". Nanotechnology is an area in great development and with application in the most varied fields of science. In cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, conventional formulations for topical application are not always able to effectively penetrate the physical barrier that human skin exerts against factors and compounds of the external environment. Polymeric micelles appear as an alternative carrier for drugs and active ingredients' delivery, also allowing ingredients with lower solubility and higher lipophilicity to be delivered.
