The existence of many data sources, with different data details, pose a challenge to the analysis of FDI in its various dimensions. The main contribution of this study is to apply the network analysis methodology, to construct a presentation of the European Network FDI, identifying patterns, establishing trends and describing the relations between different countries over time. The position of Portugal in this EU network is also assessed.
