Cinemateca dos Guindais: proposta de intervenção na frente ribeirinha das Fontainhas

The main objective of this dissertation is to reflect on the process designed, in Architecture, using the work that was proposed to us by the curricular unit of Project 5.1, of the 5th year, of the Universidade Lusófona do Porto, on the design of a localized cinematheque, cranes . Cinemateca dos Guindais, located in the old neighborhood of Fontainhas, constitutes a new center of reference in the field of cinema and moving images, integrated in a privileged space in the historic area of the city, close to the Cathedral, and overlooking the garden of the hill in Vila Nova de Gaia . Initially, a brief analysis of the historical evolution of the city of Porto was made, focusing on the intervention area of my project, which is the neighborhood of Fontainhas, an area with a great historical wealth. Subsequently, the type of program given for the elaboration of my project is analyzed, having as references some case studies, of architects in which I was inspired for the elaboration of the project.
