A guerra, fenómeno doloroso e dramático, que altera as relações humanas, pela sua natureza transcendente, faz a diferença entre viver e morrer, é tema apropriado para evocar o passado e a memória histórica em polifacetada perspectiva colectiva. Referimos assim “Campo de Batalha, lugar de memória” para salientar a relação biunívoca que os une e conforma. Conjugámos, no início de modo distinto, os conceitos “guerra” e “património” para mostrar que estão fortemente ligados numa postura que deverá ser fortalecida e salientada. Procurámos a génese, a evolução na comunidade e reflectir nas acções que condicionam o fenómeno, com particular relevo para o território, cenário do confronto. Considerámos a guerra como solução comunitária na protecção do património recebido que pretende legar à geração seguinte, consubstanciado na concretização do campo de batalha como lugar de memória. Procurámos a génese, a evolução patrimonial e a protecção face ao vandalismo. Referimos o evoluir da prática museológica por o Homem ser considerado integrado na natureza. Reflectimos no património e sua sustentabilidade pelo turismo cultural. Evidenciámos a utilidade do centro de interpretação (características, objectivos e desempenho), sua situação em Portugal e tirámos conclusões das respostas autárquicas recebidas. A análise das respostas permitiu conclusões interessantes. Terminámos com algumas propostas para os campos onde se realizaram confrontos inolvidáveis em defesa de um Ideal colectivo.Abstract: The immaterial cultural heritage, combined with the material and natural ones, acquires more relevance, leading the community to better results in the production, conservation and recreation of those heritages, through a evaluative participation in the cultural diversity and creative of human performance. The war, painful and dramatic phenomenon, changes the human relations by its transcendent nature, making the diference between live and death, is therefore appropriate theme to evoke the past, historical memory in multifaceted collective perspective. We refer ”Campo de Batalha, lugar de memória” to emphasize that two-way relationship, that unites and conforms both. We have combined, at first in a different perspective, the terms “war” and “heritage” to show they clasely linked in a posture that shoud be strengthened and empasized. We also have searched the genesis, the evolution on the community and to reflect on the actions that affect the phenomenon, with a particular focus on the territory, physical space and scene or confrontation. War is in this way considered has a comunitary solution for heritage protection, wich one wants to bequeath to the next generation, embodied in the battlefield as a place of memory. We searched the origin, evolution and heritage protection against vandalism. We consider the museological intervention as a mechanism of the Man integration in the Nature. We analised our heritage and its ustainability through the use of cultural tourism. Refer to the weight or military heritage in the military experience, shared with those who have never been to the armed service of the collective wellbeing. We showed the usefulness of the Interpretation Centers (characteristics, objectives and performance), theirs situation in Portugal and we drew conclusions from the responses received from the local governments.
