Resumo: In the matter of electric power grids, a substation is a fundamental infrastructure for the distribution of energy, being responsible for directing and controlling the energetic flow. Therefore, a substation implements a complex system of distributed automation, which guarantees communication between many equipment that make part of it and are controlled by CPUs. Nowadays, the configuration and the allocation of functions in CPUs require, in most cases, a high level of human intervention, which sometimes limits the system's efficiency optimization. Now that engineering of efficient systems is becoming the fundamental key to the industrial activity, the development of smart grids with the capacity to generate automatically solutions of distributed automation (architecture, allocation of functions to CPUs, communication and intrinsic logic) based on functional requirements becomes essential. The protocol IEC61850, adopted by International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), provides today frameworks which, by using XML normalized language (SCL), support the description of Substation Automation System (SAS). This IEC61850 semantic potential, that is currently still underused, will be an important base to the implementation of solutions like the ones mentioned before, limiting human intervention in the system and reducing costs and engineering time. In this dissertation it will be the main point to define an automatic algorithm that generates solutions of distributed automation and self-configuration of equipments to a number of functions that present well-known requirements, such as interlocking rules, in which this project will focus. These rules have the main purpose of blocking the open or closure of a switch device whenever some security condition in an operation is not accomplished, in order to avoid gaps in the functioning, damages in the equipments, and other sort of accidents.
