Resumo: This document was prepared with the purpose of presenting the professional development journey of a pre-service teacher in the field of teaching. The practicum placement provided the author with the opportunity to bridge the gap between his acquired knowledge and practical application. This practice, filled with experiences that exposed the author of this praticum report to various real-life challenges, proved to be a challenge that demanded constant self-improvement. Throughout the year, the pre-service teacher sought to stimulate his students' learning, especially in the socio-affective dimension, through Physical Education. This report is divided into seven chapters. The first, "Introdução" (Introduction), seeks to explain the purpose of this report and address what the author prioritizes in Physical Education teaching. The next two, "Dimensão Pessoal" (Personal Dimension) and "Caraterização do Contexto" (Context Characterization), aim to introduce the author, the school group, and the class he was responsible for, providing context for all the opinions and experiences shared in the remaining chapters. The fourth chapter was dedicated to "Expectativas Iniciais" (Initial Expectations), in which the author describes his perspective on what could happen throughout the school year and discusses the meaning of being a competent teacher, establishing that definition as the goal for the pre-service teacher. The following chapter, "Desafios e Descobertas" (Challenges and Discoveries), reflects on the main experiences and challenges faced during this academic year. In the chapter "Investigação" (Research), one of the questions raised in "Challenges and Discoveries" - the influence of the playing object and surface on the students' performance - undergoes a more in-depth analysis. The final chapter was dedicated to "Reflexão Final" (Final Reflection) where the author describes his main learnings and sets goals for the future. The set of experiences provided by the practicum placement resulted in the personal development of the author, making him a better professional ready for future experiences in contexts of greater responsibility and autonomy.
