Resumo: The present dissertation aims to analyse and ponder over the Interventions on Industrial Structures that integrate the Portuguese Modern Movement. Three case studies will be analysed: Bolsa do Pescado, in Massarelos, Oporto (1933-35); Armazém Frigorífico do Bacalhau da Doca de Alcântara, in Lisbon (1939) and the Industrial Complex Oliva, in São João da Madeira (1950-61). It is proposed to clarify the decisions made in the requalification projects, establishing a link between the nature of the original structure and its adaptation to a new programme, highlighting the interpretation of the details of the Modern Movement present in the original project, which guided and/or influenced the intervention project.
