Villa Cardilium at the natural scale, the type and the models, at the same time, consists of a theoretical research and a practical project, where the idea of abstraction and invention promote the creative reinterpretation of a roman villa in the city of Torres Novas. Besides being a process where Theory and Practice work with each other, at Andrea Palladio's manner, this work consolidates the study of the ancients, the way of housing agricultural villae and their permanence and continuity until contemporary architecture. Then stated, are the Type and the Models that contributed to the interpretation of the ruin as well as for the project development. Through the confrontation, the analogy and the relations between them, a solid basis is constructed for the proposal of intervention in place of the villa Cardilium - a natural action of reproduction, at real scale, where it is possible to see the forms and the materiality of what this villa could be, promoting its understanding and valorization but essentially its space experience.
