Mas, também realizar um estudo de validade concorrente do Behaviour Rating Inventory of Executive Function – preschool version (BRIEF-P).Para o efeito, foram construídas duas amostras independentes, a amostra de Portugal integra 72 participantes e a amostra do grupo do Brasil é formada por 57 participantes. Para além do trabalho de adaptação do instrumento do Português do Brasil para o Português Europeu, foram elaboradas análises no âmbito do estudo da consistência interna, análises correlacionais de acordo entre avaliadores, comparação do nível de desenvolvimento entre as duas amostras. Complementarmente, fizeram-se análises da validade concorrente com o BRIEF-P. Os resultados observados revelam muito bons valores de consistência interna, com exceção do Domínio Motor, o acordo interavaliadores revelou fortes correlações entre os quatro domínios do desenvolvimento para as duas versões (pais e professores), também na análise comparada entre os dois grupos é possível observar no grupo do Brasil valores médios mais elevados nos Domínios Socioemocional e Linguístico, enquanto o grupo de Portugal apresenta valores médios mais elevados ao nível cognitivo, também foi possível concluir que as variáveis género e escolaridade da mãe não influenciam a variação dos resultados, por fim, na validade concorrente, obtiveram-se correlações negativas entre domínios do desenvolvimento e as escalas do BRIEF-P.Em suma, a Escala de Rastreio do Desenvolvimento Infantil, na sua generalidade evidenciou propriedades psicométricas adequadas, com exceção da escala do Domínio Motor. Nesse sentido, poderá constituir-se como instrumento relevante para a avaliação do desenvolvimento infantil e assumir uma função de rastreio precoce dos problemas desenvolvimentais.The lack of studies and monitoring instruments for child development at preschool age is increasing, this theme has been forgotten for the clinical domain, when parents and teachers are the ones who know the child best. The main objective of this investigation is to analyse some validity and reliability indicators of the Child Development Screening Scale for the group from 36 to 47 months. But, also perform a concurrent validity study of the Behaviour Rating Inventory of Executive Function – preschool version (BRIEF-P). For this purpose, two independent samples were constructed, the sample from Portugal includes 72 participants and the sample from the group from Brazil consists of 57 participants. In addition to adapting the instrument from Brazilian Portuguese to European Portuguese, analyses were carried out within the scope of the study of internal consistency, correlational analyses according to evaluators, comparison of the level of development between the two samples. Complementarily, analysis of the concurrent validation with the BRIEF-P was carried out. The observed results reveal very good values of internal consistency, with the exception of the Motor Domain, the interrater agreement revealed strong correlations between the four domains of development for the two versions (parents and teachers), also in the anticipated analysis between the two groups it is possible to observe in the group of the Brazil higher mean values in the Socioemotional and Linguistic domains, while the group from Portugal has higher mean values at the cognitive level, it was also possible to conclude that the variable gender and mother´s education does not influence the variations of results, finally, in the concurrent validity, negative correlations were obtained between developmental domains and the BRIEF-P scales. In short, the Child Development Screening Scale, in general, showed adequate psychometric properties, with the exception of the motor domain scale.
