Resumo: The professional internship is a Curricular Unit within the Master in Teaching of Physical Education in Primary and Secondary Education of the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto. Throughout one academic year, the trainee teacher is included in a real and supervised teaching practice context, which essentially contemplates three areas of performance: Area 1 - Organization and Management of Teaching and Learning; Area 2 - Participation in School and Relations with the Community; Area 3 - Professional Development. As a result of this professional experience, this document has been written with the aim of recreating the experiences and learning of the trainee teacher, especially regarding the three areas mentioned above. Since the trainee teacher is placed in a different institutional context than the rest of his colleagues, this framework initially proceeds to the presentation of this scenario, emphasizing the school's characteristics and all the key actors in this process. Afterwards, Area 1 is developed, which approaches the professional practice realization in the discipline of Physical Education in a 10th grade class, analyzing the actions and experiences of the student, through the perspective of a chess game. However, because the roll of the trainee teacher goes beyond the class and teaching-learning process, Area 2 discusses the various events in which the trainee teacher was involved, as well the activities he organized. Finally, according to the needs observed, in Area 3 an investigative essay is developed, aiming to analyze the students' perception of the assessment for learning practices used throughout this school year.
