Resumo: In dialogue with the World Social Forum of Transformative Economies' (WSFTE) call to the confluence of movements that promote alternatives to capitalism, we propose a reflection on the Portuguese case, based on an initiative held in Porto in 2019, TransEco. The event brought together researchers, practitioners and activists from across the country in a series of talks on solidarity economy and degrowth, feminist economies, agroecology and food sovereignty, and the commons. The discourses were analyzed in the light of the four dimensions of systemic transformation proposed by the WSFTE: power, economy, nature and knowledge. The main challenges to confluence that stand out from the reflection are the need to cultivate the collective level, to recognize the importance of reproductive work in the construction of the movement, to make concrete practices visible and to establish bridges between different territories and knowledge. Recognizing the incipient national articulation, one of the main contributions of this article is the identification of a universe of initiatives that act on the same themes proposed by the international agenda, and that are unavoidable references for the construction of strategic alliances to leverage the movement in Portugal.
