A Mudan?a Narrativa num Grupo de Educa??o Parental: Tempo, Causalidade, Forma de Relato e Temas da Narrativa

Objetivo: O presente estudo pretende investigar a mudan?a narrativa nas fam?lias que participaram num grupo cl?nico de Educa??o Parental. Participantes: Participaram neste estudo 10 elementos, pertencendo a 7 fam?lias integradas no Incredible Years Basic Parent Program. As referidas fam?lias foram identificadas por letras A, B, C, D, E, F e G. As fam?lias A, B, C, F e G s?o fam?lias nucleares intactas. A fam?lia E corresponde a uma fam?lia monoparental e a fam?lia D corresponde a uma fam?lia alargada. As fam?lias E e F encontram-se na fase do ciclo vital fam?lia com filhos pequenos, as fam?lias A, C, D, G na fase fam?lia com filhos na escola e, por fim, a fam?lia B na fase fam?lia com filhos adolescentes. Instrumentos: Foi aplicado o Sistema da Avalia??o da Mudan?a Narrativa (SAMN). Este instrumento integra sete dimens?es que avaliam a mudan?a narrativa dos clientes em processos terap?uticos de orienta??o sist?mica p?s-moderna. Na presente investiga??o foram estudados o tempo, a causalidade, forma de relato da hist?ria e temas centrais da sess?o. O sucesso obtido por cada fam?lia no grupo de educa??o parental foi aferido atrav?s da compara??o de tr?s medidas - SQD, BDI, Inventario de pr?ticas educativas - relativamente ?s evolu??es ocorridas entre o pr?-teste e p?s-teste. Resultados: Cinco fam?lias (B, D, E, F e G) foram consideradas de sucesso e duas fam?lias (A e C) foram consideradas como casos de insucesso no final do Programa Parental. Atrav?s da avalia??o com o SAMN, verificou-se que ocorreram mais altera??es e flexibiliza??es no tempo, causalidade, forma de relato da hist?ria e temas da sess?o nos casos de maior sucesso. Nos casos de menor sucesso as dimens?es mantiveram-se mais pr?ximas do seu formato inicial, n?o se verificando altera??es significativas. / Aim: This study aims to investigate the narrative change in the families who participated in a clinical group of Parental Education. Participants: Ten elements belonging to seven families integrated into the Incredible Years Basic Parent Program participated in the study. These families were identified by the letters A, B, C, D, E, F and G. Families A, B, C, F and G are intact nuclear families. The family E corresponds to single-parent family and family D corresponds to an extended family. Families E and F are at the stage of family life cycle with young children. Families A, C, D, G are included in the family phase with children in school and, finally, the B family on the family stage with teenage children. Instruments: The Assessment System of Narrative Change (ASNC) was applied. This instrument contains seven dimensions that evaluate the narrative change of clients in therapeutic processes of postmodern systemic orientation. In the present investigation time, causality, telling of the story and the themes of the session were studied. The success achieved by each family was determined by comparing three measures - SQD, BDI, Inventory of educational practices relative to the evolutions between the pre-test and post-test. Results: At the end of the Parent Program, five families (B, D, E, F and G) were considered successful cases and two families (A and C) were considered unsuccessful cases. In the most successful cases, what concerns to the narratives, more changes and flexibility occurred in the time, causality, telling of the story and session themes, In cases of less success the referred dimensions remained closer to its original format and significant changes were not observed.
