Resumo: | The present dissertation intends to identify a set of performance indicators that allow recognizing the acceleration moments present in the offensive organization of football teams. In this regard, four objectives were outlined: i) to validate a set of performance indicators relative to the acceleration moments; ii) to determine if there are differences between the goals achieved through acceleration vs non-acceleration moments, as well as set pieces; iii) to determine if there exists differences in the acceleration moments with regard to different leagues, and; iv) to verify if there are differences between the first three teams, located at the first positions of the classification, in relation to other teams positioned at the middle and lower part of the final classification. To accomplish these objectives, the Soccer-eye observation system was adapted to analyze 1951 goals from 36 teams. Through the observational methodology were determined the different behaviors being the analysis performed by using the multi-platform software LINCE. Descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation and relative frequencies) were used to analyze the distribution of the values, and the Chi-square test was used to verify the differences between the performance indicators. We determined that the game in its offensive phase was accelerated mainly through four indicators: ball conduction in the direction of the attack; positive long passes; passes performed in diagonal and/or frontal in-depth movements. We concluded that there were differences between the acceleration moments (p=0.015), and the goals that occurred through set pieces as well as during the game without acceleration moments. We also concluded that 38.8 % of the goals scored were influenced/preceded by these acceleration moments. There were no differences between the leagues of Germany, England and Spain (p=0.32). In addition, there were differences between the leagues of Germany and Spain comparatively with the Portuguese league. Finally, we found that there were differences between the three groups, namely the first three teams positioned at the top of the classification in relation to others positioned at the middle/lower part of the classification (p=0.01). |
