Igreja de Santo Amaro e Lugar de Legoinha (Séc.XVI - Séc XX): Projecto de reabilitação de um centro interpretativo.

The site of Legoinha is the starting point for this work of analysis, comprehension and intervention in a rural setting inserted in Trás-os-Montes. Therefore, the present work initiates from the registry that intends to inform and support the fundamental piece, the project, as a response to the proposed exercise. Thus, the first part explores the comprehension and background of the site regarding three fundamental pieces: the rural setting of Legoinha itself and its relation with the broad territory; the church of Santo Amaro and its relation with the landscape of the site; and lastly, the analysis of a cluster of habitation, corrals and agricultural warehouses. The second part is exclusively focused on the church, with the intention of identifying the particularities that evoked its study, namely the presence of mural paintings from the XVI century located in the back wall, as well as its current state of degradation and its insertion in the project Rota da Fé. Considering the objective of Câmara Municipal de Alfândega da Fé in potentiate Legoinha in regards of the remaining chapels, it is proposed an intervention in one of the vernacular constructions aiming to become an interpretive center for Rota da Fé. The third and last part will focus on discussing the Project regarding questions related to the implications of intervening in a rural setting, in a religious construction and in a vernacular construction, namely in terms of the specificities to consider in each case.
