E antes da geometria? Os motivos denominados "geométricos" na arte rupestre Pré-histórica

Resumo: The so called Pre-historic rock art is part of the archeological science. The artistically concept wouldn’t be a goal of Prehistoric art, being this understood more as an element of the ritual-symbolic universe of these communities. The identification of geometric motifs from prehistoric epochs corresponds, therefore, to the perception that we nowadays have of rectilinear or circular morphologies, with numerous variants. These motifs are present since the Upper Paleolithic until the end of Iron Age, moment marked by the arrival of the classical world into the Iberian Peninsula. In the present Portuguese territory we find diverse artistic cycles, we underline in the present work the post-Paleolithic schematic art.
