The main challenges are regarding people, knowledge, and motivation to change. Different companies can be at different levels of digital maturity, but to deal with Digital Transformation, they must align their Business and Information Technology Strategies. Operations are one of the nine Enterprise business dimensions where Digital Transformation can be significantly accelerated, and companies are already exploring several Technologies related to Artificial Intelligence to improve it. There are some studies about Robotic Process Automation, but Intelligent Process Automation is recent and consulting companies have been doing most of the research and selling it as a service and have economic interests. Helping companies going through Digital Transformation using Intelligent Process Automation, this study seeks to develop a strategic model that gives guidance regarding how to take benefit of Artificial Intelligence to automate their processes intelligently. The main research goal of this study is to build an Intelligent Process Automation Strategic Model that gives organizations a framework to follow, accelerating their digital transition and increasing competitiveness.
