Resumo: At this moment, the current context of the curricular monitoring of the Department of Informatics Engineering of FEUP, contemplates several groups of intervenients which have different roles and responsibilities in the various courses that the department has inserted in itself. For in addition to the large number of people these groups contain, the wide variety of forms of communication - oral communication, e-mails, meetings or even the use of social networks - greatly increases the complexity of the curricular monitoring in the current system. All these factors makes the task of managing the curricular follow up quite complex and open the possibility of mistakes in the treatment of some situations. Therefore, the proposal of this dissertation is to create a platform capable of synthesizing some of these responsibilities in a global system, where the various actors - whether teachers, students or groups- can optimize the problem solving process that can be identified during the academic period. In this way, the proposed system should incorporate an Issue Tracking System applied to the curricular follow-up, in a first phase turned to the Department of Informatics Engineering of FEUP, but with the purpose of being expanded for the entire FEUP community. The system is divided by years and courses and each of these divisions can be accessed by different users, depending on the level of permissions that each user has. An administrator has access to all courses and to a set of statistics of the current state of each year and each course. This state is defined by the number of issues open at any time and can be regulated by the administrator. A person who manage a course (teachers of this course, or a student representative of the year), can have access to the issues of this course and can contribute to the resolution of this issue in its page. A student has only access to the courses that he / she attends and can see the history of open issues and create new issues. Issues should be categorized as "Problem", "Proposal", or "Suggestion", so that they can be analyzed more accurately and make the resolution process faster. At this early stage, it is expected that the system will be put to the test with a real use made by the constituent elements of the MIEIC affair council, which will serve as a test for the system, so that in the future it can be extended to the whole community of FEUP. Some extra features should also be included, such as the creation of groups by course - where students enrolled in a course may have access to information provided by the course professors, or by DEI secretariat, thus avoiding sending e-mails to this ends - or groups for students enrolled in the same academic year where they can interact and share information from their courses, creating an alternative to currently existing social networking groups. In addition to the features presented here, the system will be able to host complementary functionalities in future works.
