Resumo: This article aims to analyze a twenty-first century woman wandering in Régis Jauffrets novel Promenade. Our approach uses three concepts, successively explored, that are modernism, postmodernism and supermodernity. Although the text resists these aesthetics categorizations and social patterns, and cannot radically decide in favor of one or the other, they all contribute to a fertile enough analysis, which captures effective forms of vagrancy in todays society, as well as in writing.
