This article corresponds to one of the research stages of the doctoral dissertationentitled Infocommunication in agricultural cooperatives: Proposal of aninfocommunicational model of information management in Rondônia, Brazil '. Theresearch strategy adopted in the thesis was the Multiple Case Study, which involved theexploration of the infocommunicational phenomenon in COOPERRECA, COOMADEand COOPPROJIRAU. It was important to know how information management ispresented, in an infocommunicational context in the sample of this study. Thus, we adopted for systemic analysis the systemic theory, originating from the GeneralSystems Theory to interpret and explain the infocommunicational process incooperatives. The research approach is qualitative, exploratory and descriptive, withcross-sectional data collection, obtained through a questionnaire and treatment in aMicrosoft Office Excel spreadsheet. Considering that the research aimed to know thereality experienced by the agricultural-based cooperatives constituting the sample, inrelation to the Information Management regarding the microenvironment andmacroenvironment in which they are inserted, we identified that the communicationcontributes to the positive performance of those cooperatives that admit the informationand communication as drivers of their activities and decisions, from the simplest to themost complex. From this perspective, it is possible to infer about the need to elaborateand propose an Information Management model capable of balancing the potential ofcooperatives in Rondônia, Brazil and in similar environments.
