As aplica??es da psican?lise extramuros do consult?rio remontam aos momentos fundat?rios desta disciplina. Em Portugal ? igualmente poss?vel encontrar trabalhos de psican?lise aplicada nos prim?rdios da introdu??o em contexto nacional da ci?ncia do inconsciente. A Revista Portuguesa de Psican?lise ? o peri?dico cient?fico mais antigo no panorama portugu?s dedicado ? divulga??o do conhecimento psicanal?tico. O presente estudo visa contribuir para um conhecimento mais aprofundado da psican?lise aplicada em Portugal atrav?s de um estudo bibliom?trico focado nas primeiras tr?s d?cadas da Revista Portuguesa de Psican?lise, desde 1985 at? 2014. Durante o intervalo temporal considerado foram publicados 424 artigos, com 171 a serem classificados na ?rea da psican?lise aplicada. Foram recolhidos diversos dados nos artigos recolhidos, tanto referentes aos autores e respectivas filia??es, como ?s refer?ncias bibliogr?ficas citadas. Para al?m disso, foi criada uma grelha de categorias com vista a realizar uma an?lise tem?tica de conte?do dos artigos, que permitiu a identifica??o dos n?cleos de interesse e intercess?es entre ?reas do conhecimento mais frequentes. Os resultados sugerem que a psican?lise aplicada apresenta um lugar de destaque no peri?dico analisado, com 40,33% do total de artigos a enquadrarem-se nesta r?brica. Os ind?ces de colabora??o na autoria de trabalhos s?o reduzidos e as institui??es mais produtivas foram as institui??es de ensino superior portuguesas e a pr?pria Sociedade Portuguesa de Psican?lise. Os artigos inserem-se numa ampla diversidade de ?reas tem?ticas, com particular destaque para as Ci?ncias Sociais e Artes. As fontes bibliogr?ficas referenciadas sugerem um aumento gradual de import?ncia da l?ngua inglesa ao longo das tr?s d?adas em an?lise, bem como a relev?ncia dos contributos de Sigmund Freud, Wilfred Bion e Donald Winnicott. Finalmente, s?o apresentadas indica??es com vista ? internacionaliza??o da revista e ao aumento do seu impacto fora do contexto nacional, bem como sugest?es de pesquisas futuras. Em conclus?o, apesar das cr?ticas e quest?es metodol?gicas frequentemente apontadas ? aplica??o da psican?lise a ?reas distantes da cl?nica psicoterap?utica, a psican?lise aplicada parece deter um lugar relevante no campo da investiga??o, o qual se mant?m relativamente constante ao longo das tr?s d?cadas analisadas. / The application of psychoanalysis outside the consulting room goes back to the founding moments of this discipline. In Portugal, it is equally possible to find works of applied psychoanalysis dating back to the introduction in the national context of the science of the unconscious. The ?Revista Portuguesa de Psican?lise? (Portuguese Journal of Psychoanalysis) is the oldest scientific journal in the Portuguese publications panorama dedicated to the dissemination of psychoanalytic knowledge. The present study aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of applied psychoanalysis in Portugal through a bibliometric study focused on the first three decades of the Portuguese Journal of Psychoanalysis, from 1985 to 2014. During this time period 424 articles were published, with 171 being classified in the area of applied psychoanalysis. Several bibliometric indicators were collected, not only regarding authors and their affiliations, but also the bibliographic references cited. A table with categories and subcategories was created with the purpose of performing a thematic analysis of content of each article. This allowed the identification of nuclei of interest and the most frequent areas of intersection between psychoanalysis and other areas of knowledge. Results suggest that applied psychoanalysis has a prominent place in this scientific journal, with 40,33% of the published articles belonging to this topic. The collaboration index that measures collaborative practices is low and the most productive institutions were Portuguese higher education institutions and the Portuguese Society of Psychoanalysis. The collected articles address a wide range of fields, with Social Sciences and Arts standing out. The bibliographic sources referenced suggest a gradual increase in the importance of the English language throughout the three decades, and the relevance of contributions by Sigmund Freud, Wilfred Bion and Donald Winnicott. Finally, several indications are presented with the purpose of supporting the internationalization of the journal and increasing its impact outside national borders, as well as suggestions for future studies. In conclusion, despite the criticism and methodologic issues that plague the application of psychoanalysis outside the scope of psychotherapy, applied psychoanalysis appears to occupy a relevant place in research practices, which is relatively constant throughout the three decades analyzed.
