Resumo: The present research has as its starting point the theme of intervention in heritage context and its repercussion in contemporary architecture. This process will be analyzed through (re)conversion-based architecture projects, in response to the usage needs of vacant buildings, and informed by the premises of preservation and innovation. This work aims to form an intervention proposal for the old cellars of Porto Calém, located in Vila Nova de Gaia warehouse, having as its purpose the adaptability of its monofunctional typology and flexibility to a new use, safeguarding the identity of the building and the place.
