OBJETIVOS ESTRATÉGICOS DO DESPORTO ESCOLAR E A SUA APLICAÇÃO NO CONTEXTO REAL DE PRÁTICA - PERCEÇÃO DA COMUNIDADE ESCOLAR

Resumo: The present dissertation had as its objective to understand the perception of students, teachers, parents and school management, belonging to the School Grouping of Fiães, about the pursuit of the strategic objectives of school sports. Consequently, 23 members of the school community were interviewed, namely: (I) 2 members representing the school managements; (II) 5 members representing parents / guardians; (III) 6 Physical Education teachers and (IV) 10 students (randomly chosen in School Sports). The results that have been achieved have shown, in general terms, that the collected opinions are in accordance with the strategic objectives proposed by the School Sports Office of the General Administration for Innovation of the Ministry of Education. In what concerns the different representatives of the education community: (I) pointed out the difficulties and constraints that the responsible Offices reveal in providing support, mainly financial and organizational assistance; (II) pointed out the reduced visibility of the project and of the physical and human conditions givento its development; (III) naturally the most critical group, referred in their opinions to a series of ideas that reflect their expectations, their doubts and frustrations as direct agents in the development of the project, as well as the gap they feel there is between the project "on paper" and its operationalization; (IV) the essence of the School - Institution, emphasized the importance of the attributes of school sports and demanded for a stronger commitment to the project, mainly in what concerns the training conditions and the time for practice dedicated to these activities. This study has enabled me to reach a more solid and profound understanding of the perceptions of the different agents in the educational community about the strategic objectives of School Sports, by identifying several shortcomings in its operationalization and indicating future directions to be explored toward a more productive development of this project nationwide.
