Resumo: | The increase in space debris has been a major concern for humans. To avoid the risk of collisions in Earth orbit, which can be quite catastrophic for satellites, ways to alleviate this problem have been considered, such as the intensive study of solutions and the development of processing algorithms for object observation. . From the previously presented problem, this dissertation arises, which aims to discuss a possible approach to the issue of detecting objects in GEO surveys, in the context of the pipeline that is being developed. This pipeline is written in the Python language and uses optical sensors that are made up of a system with two telescopes implemented in July 2022 at the Pampilhosa da Serra Space Observatory (PASO). A historical context of space debris is presented, as well as some important technologies and tools in the development of this project. Also, an architecture is presented, that is, the development and implementation of the pipeline. Furthermore, the results obtained are presented and discussed. This work was carried out at the facilities of the Instituto de Telecomunicações – Polo de Aveiro, using images that were obtained at the Pico dos Dias Observatory, located in the State of Minas Gerais, which belongs to the National Astrophysics Laboratory in Brazil. Images provided by the Ministry of Defense, captured by the Deployable telescope, located at PASO, were also used. |

Para evitar o risco de colisões na órbita terrestre, que podem ser bastante catastróficas para os satélites, têm-se vindo a estudar formas de minorar este problema, como por exemplo o estudo intensivo de soluções e o desenvolvimento de algoritmos de processamento para observação de objetos. Do problema apresentado anteriormente, surge, então, esta dissertação que tem como objetivo discutir uma possível abordagem ao problema de detetar objetos em levantamentos GEO, no contexto da pipeline que está a ser desenvolvida. Esta pipeline é escrita na linguagem Python e recorre ao sensores óticos que são constituídos por um sistema com dois telescópios implementados em julho de 2022 no Observatório Espacial da Pampilhosa da Serra (PASO). Uma contextualização histórica dos detritos espaciais é apresentada, bem como algumas tecnologias e ferramentas importantes no desenvolvimento deste projeto. Também, é apresentada uma arquitetura, ou seja, o desenvolvimento e implementação da pipeline. Além disto, são apresentados e discutidos os resultados obtidos. Este trabalho foi realizado nas instalações do Instituto de Telecomunicações – Polo de Aveiro, com recurso a imagens que foram obtidas no Observatório do Pico dos Dias, localizado no Estado de Minas Gerais, que pertence ao Laboratório Nacional de Astrofísica no Brasil.
