Resumo: Chez Christian Gailly et Christian Oster, la représentation de l’île procède par une approche double de reprise et de dénonciation de la stéréotypie associée aux territoires insulaires dans l’imaginaire occidental. Partant du présupposé de l’impossibilité de saisir le territoire, ces romanciers redonnent à lire l’île par un mouvement de reconnaissance du monde, en proposant un regard au prisme de ses représentations figées, traditionnelles.
