Resumo: This dissertation aims to highlight the urgent need for intervention in the "ilhas" of Porto, where unhealthy living conditions persist. The "Ilhas" have fallen into oblivion for years and on which the speech has always been their eradication. Nowadays a new thought as been developed about them, now their extintion is no longer part of the solution, but their regeneration.Thus, by grasping the remaining housing problems and analysing the different thoughts that have emerged until now, we search a future for one "Ilha" in Rua de Vera Cruz in Bonfim (number 23A) and new thought of what might be the future of the "Ilhas" scattered by the city. A design built through memory that persists and beyond memory, outlining new uses and ways of habitation in this "Ilha", to integrate this space in today's society.
