Resumo: Starting from a personal interest in understanding the way theme parks are thought, built, and manipulated, this master thesis has the aim to clarify and let know this architectural side that seizes to entertain. Recognizing the historical path, and assuming Disneyland and Portugal dos Pequenitos has case studies, Once Upon a Time... The role of architecture in Disneyland and Portugal dos Pequenitos presents a careful and incisive investigation, searching for similarities and differences between them. Two structures that in time are close but, apparently, ideologically apart. Aiming to dismantle the theme park into several pieces, as if it were a puzzle, identifying their different components and recognizing their founding rules, from History to Intersection has a mission: to find the starting point.
