Resumo: Immunosuppressive drugs are the cornerstone of treatment of auto-immune inflammatory diseases (AIIDs) with renal involvement. However, the most commonly used drugs in this setting can increase the risk of bacterial, fungal, and viral infection, and also impair immune response following vaccination. Recommendations and evidence on strategies for infection prevention in the setting of AIIDs treatment will be reviewed.
