This assignment investigates the Brazilian modernist movement essentially concerning thesubject of housing based on a set of works visited by the author during one year of studies in Brazilconducted under the university exchange program.The bibliographic research was followed by a long and intensive analytical study process basedon rigorous authentic drawings that helped in the assimilation of data and led to reaching conclusions.The analysis undertaken by the methods of architectural drawings imposed issues less evident inthe available literature, suggesting new topics for discussion such as the innovation in the forms of livingor the interaction between public and private spaces. The appreciation of collective spaces (indoor andoutdoor), present across all the works, led to the experimentation of new spatial concepts of high interestthat reinforced the installation of a new way of living.The knowledge of the movement, the works and authors was con!rmed and it is believed to havecontributed with methodology and usefull results, stimulating for future work.
