Vinculação-Intimidade e Bem-Estar Psicológico em Consumidores de Heroína: Estudo Comparativo Entre Consumidores e Não Consumidores

Este artigo apresenta as conclusões de um estudo sobre qualidade da vinculação do adulto, qualidade da vinculação íntima e níveis de bem-estar psicológico, reunindo, comparativamente, um grupo de clínico de 51 consumidores de heroína e um grupo de controle de 101 não consumidores de heroína e outras drogas duras. Os resultados indicam que os consumidores de heroína são mais ansiosos no relacionamento íntimo, mais ansiosos e evitantes e menos seguros no relacionamento interpessoal e apresentam níveis de bem-estar psicológico mais baixos relativamente aos que não consomem. O bem-estar psicológico e a vinculação íntima ansiosa são preditores do consumo de heroína. Por outro lado, a vinculação íntima evitante, o factor consumo de heroína, a vinculação ansiosa do adulto e a vinculação segura do adulto são preditores de bem-estar psicológico. O comportamento aditivo constitui, assim, testemunho de sofrimento pessoal, apresentando um carácter autoterapêutico ou adaptativo, onde progressivamente se vai perdendo o valor de laços e relações afectivas, no sentido em que a substância substitui as necessárias relações com os outros e é assumida, paradoxalmente, como símbolo de felicidade. Summary This article presents the conclusions of a study on the quality of adult attachment and levels of psychological well-being, gathering, comparatively, a clinical group of 51 heroin consumers and a control group of 101 non-consumers of heroin and other drugs. The results indicate that the heroin consumers are more anxious in their intimate relations, more anxious and avoidant and less secure in interpersonal relationships, and present lower levels of psychological well-being when compared to the nonconsumers. The psychological well-being and the intimate attachment are predictors of the heroin consumption. On the other hand, the intimate avoidant attachment, the heroin consumption factor, the anxious attachment of the adult, and the secure attachment of the adult are predictors of psychological well-being. The addictive behavior testifies personal suffering and an auto-therapeutic / adaptative character with the gradual loss of bonds and affective relationships, in so far as the substance substitutes the necessary relationships with the others, and is assumed, paradoxically, as a symbol of happiness.
