Community Music and intervention: an approach to the practices of ESElx Community Music students during their internship (2015-2017)

Resumo: This article aims to analyze the practices and interventions of the Community Music Degree students from ESELx / ESML in the context of their internship during the academic years 2015-2017. Following recent theoretical discussions on concepts such as Community Music or Intervention, we seek to situate the internship interventions and reflect on the methodology used by the students. In this sense, we highlight the Project Methodology as the main used methodology, namely in the planning, implementation and evaluation phases. The analysis allows us to characterize the interventions in terms of the internship contexts, target audiences, as well as which are the objectives and strategies of the projects. Through data analysis, it is possible to identify the flexibility of this methodology, designed to meet the characteristics of each context and acting as a catalyst for the creative energy of the different target audiences. The research allowed us to conclude that the interventions in this context are closely linked to the project methodology, reflecting the different phases in which it is structured and that it constitutes a central methodological reference in the scope of Community.

A partir da problematização de conceitos como Música na Comunidade ou Intervenção, procuramos situar os estágios e refletir acerca da metodologia que subjaz às intervenções realizadas pelos alunos. Neste sentido, destacamos a Metodologia de Projeto como a principal metodologia utilizada, nomeadamente nas fases de planeamento, implementação e avaliação. A análise realizada permite-nos caracterizar as intervenções ao nível dos contextos de estágio, públicos-alvo, assim como quais os objetivos e estratégias dos projetos. Neste sentido, através da análise dos dados, é possível identificar a flexibilidade desta metodologia, pensada para ir ao encontro às características de cada contexto e agindo como catalisador da energia criativa dos diferentes públicos-alvo.
