Resumo: Neoliberalism has been extensively explored in theoretical works across various fields, emphasizing its intrinsic relationship with principles of individualization and the expansion of market logic to the individual level. According to the Foucauldian perspective, neoliberalism can be understood as a mentality, with implications at the political, psychological, and relational levels. The present study explores how neoliberal rationality interferes with the intensity and form of the experience of University of Porto students, shaping their experience on a personal level. Two focused discussion groups were conducted with 8 university students involved in academic associativism. Through thematic analysis, elements related to the formal configuration of the university were found, such as the socioeconomic responses offered and the academic components, positioned as mediators of the experience. More prominently, aspects of subjective experience were identified, with productivity being a crucial element in students' daily lives, marked also by comparison, individualization, and fatigue. These components are analyzed in detail, along with a discussion of their relationship with neoliberal rationality.
