Assess the motivational values of students respondents through a range of motivation. Sample Convenience sampling. Anonymity. Confidentiality. N = 86 pupils of the 3rd cycle of education, aged between 12 and 16 years. With a distribution of gender of 48.8% 51.2% male and female. Instruments The data required for this study are collected through the analysis of the responses to self-description Questionnaire Scale SDQ1 (adaptation to the Portuguese population by Marsh: evaluation of the concept itself of the adolescent; Faria & Fontaine (1990) and Questionnaire of Schoolar Motivation (QME) (Cordeiro, 2010). Locus of research and Procedures Voluntary student membership. The application of instruments held collectively in 3rd cycle basic education school context with superior authorization. The questionnaires were applied by the investigator and a teacher of the class in the classroom of public education institutions in the North and centre of Portugal Results Preliminary studies in school context The values of the mean values and standard deviation, respectively, obtained for the instrument SDQ1 subscales are: Mathematics Self-concept 24.34 and 8.949; Physical competence 28.41 and 6.427; School Global 25.5 and 6.352; Verbal self-concept 7.463 and 27.79; Physical appearance 6.638 and 28.53; Parents and social 31.41, 4.751; Social Pairs 29.60 and 4.904 and Global self-concept 33.55 and 5.414. Regarding objective 1, with the application of self-description Questionnaire Scale 1-SDQ1 (adaptation to the Portuguese population; the MARSH: evaluation of the concept itself of the adolescent (Faria & Fontaine, 1990), the data allow to observe proper dispersion of the same in accordance with the descriptive statistics Regarding QME instrument the obtained values are: F1- Strategies 75.93 and 22.304; F2 – Extrinsic Goals of Professor 41.17 and 8.958; F3 – Extrinsic Goals of the student, with external regulation 9.145 and 33.23; F4 – Intrinsic Goals of Professor 32.49 and 8.601; F5-Extrinsic Goals of the student, with Internal regulation 23.84 and 7.089; F6-intrinsic Student Goals 17.74 and 5.018. Regarding objective 2, with the implementation of School Motivation Questionnaire (QME) (Cordeiro, 2010), the results obtained in this research also allow to observe proper dispersion of the same: Final considerations and conclusions There is an adequate dispersion for SDQ1 and QME in the factors and their respective obtained values. At this point the investigation takes place in the sense of getting the data in relation to goals 3, 4 and 5 set out in design, which in the future will be presented and discussed. |
