Resumo: | The history of rivers can be inferred from the history of the cities they run through. Based on a systematization of the territorial organization of the Leça river basin (Portugal) in the last decades, we contextualize the relationship and mutual adjustments between rivers and cities, discussing how different times of decay and degradation or revaluation and revitalization interweave its current condition. |
