Resumo: This poster focuses on the methodological features of the project Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) in the Alentejo Regional Area of Portugal, developed in the context of Regional Observatory for Tourism in the Alentejo 2010-2012. The purpose is to present the conceptual framework designed to be used in developing a Regional TSA. The literature review was undertaken to identify the methodological frameworks that have been presented at international level to develop the TSA and also to assess the methodologies that have been used in different countries. Primarily results evidence that despite the economic importance of tourism is universally acknowledge, there are still many gaps in information available that can be compared in an international scale.
