Resumo: The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of gymnasts in some balance tests and a set of particular ones from acrobatic gymnastics, considering the specific work made by any pair/group (base or top) and the execution with a preferred limb (PL) and a non-preferred limb (NPL). 25 feminine gymnasts were evaluated, ACRO players, all of them with ages between 8 and 23 years old. The data gathered was composed in two parts, one focused on the volume of anatomic points migration of bases and top gymnasts (3 pairs: 3 bases and 3 top) and another where 25 gymnasts were evaluated following plural static balance tests (Flamingo test, Balance Error Scoring System and Standing Stork Test) and dynamics (Star Excursion balance Test). In the first part, the three pars executed 5 balance pyramids (specific test of static balance of ACRO), using reflective markers in different anatomic points of human body. Statistical processing of the data (SPSS, version 21.0) used were the average, standard deviation and minimum and the maximum values obtained in each test, where the non parametric Mann-Whitney to compare the performance of the base and top and the Wilcox test to compare the performance between the PL and the NPL were applied. To treat the data from the specific static balance test, ruts in Matlab environment were used and in doing so the area of migration of the anatomic points was analyzed. It was conclude that the base gymnasts had better results in the general balance tests when compared to the top ones and the gymnasts who have practiced for a longer time also presented better results. It was further more concluded that the base gymnasts had higher results with the PL than with the NPL, as did the top gymnasts in most of the tests. The gymnasts (base and top) who had been training together for a longer period of time had the lower volume valors of anatomic points' migration studied. In other words, there was better stability throughout the execution of the pyramids.
