Resumo: | This dissertation addresses the work that the French author Charles Fourier (1772-1837) dedicated to the Falanstery and uses it as the basis in an analysis of the evolution of society, particularly European, from his lifetime to contemporary times. This is an author whose sociological discourse is incredibly broad despite having gone unnoticed in his time. His revolutionary ideas often contrasted with logics implemented at the time. The phalanstery, is a device created to house an agricultural-based community of approximately 1600 people in a rural context. This work exposes an overview of the composition of the project and the criticism to which it was dedicated, divided into its two dimensions: ideology and architecture. Through concrete examples, the analysis of the legacy from his work has been constructed, so that we can see, in the city, some of the repercussions to which he gave rise. The brief analysis of these examples serves as a motto for the final explanation, which reflects on a set of determining values in the construction of the city in the future. |
