O Estágio Profissional: O palco do início da concretização dos sonhos de uma estudante estagiária

Resumo: Professional Internship: The stage for the beginning of a student intern's dreams is a document narrated in the first person within the scope of the Professional Internship included in Teaching Physical Education in the Basic and Secondary School Master's Degree by the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto. This supervised teaching practice has been performed during one school year in Penafiel Secondary School. It's made up of three intern students under the supervision of two specialized professionals: one cooperating teacher and one mentor teacher. The contribution of the Family, Sports, Theater, Fitness, and the Faculty was preponderant for the accomplishment of this Professional Internship, and this path contributed in a significant way to my personal and professional growth. On the other hand, the whole scenario surrounding this story is also presented: the Cooperating School, the Cooperating Teacher, the Mentor Teacher, the Professional Internship Center, as well as the classes involved: the resident class and the shared class. During the Professional Internship, problems arose in terms of planning (e.g. construction of Teaching Units, lesson plans and harmony between theory and contextualized practice) and the operationalization of the pedagogical practice, namely, in the first period: the students' demotivation for the practice of sports and the need to create routines and work habits; in the second term: the adjustment of learning tasks to the students' performance level and the guarantee of success and safety in learning tasks and, finally, in the third term: the planning of the entire gymnastics soiree, based on the students' autonomy and responsibility. In order to solve these problems, strategies and teaching models were used that responded to the needs and characteristics of the students, always trying to contribute to their integral formation through the development of the students' motor, social, and cognitive skills.
