This report corresponds to the Curricular Traineeship of the non-teaching phase of the Master's Degree in International and European Law of the Lisbon Nova University Faculty of Law. The internship was carried out, according to the Curricular Internship Programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (PECMNE), in a presential way, in the Consulate-General of Portugal in Barcelona, a peripheral service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The internship was carried out between 24 May and 15 October 2021, and will serve as content for the work that I am now presenting, in order to obtain the degree of Master in International and European Law. Therefore, and in order to enrich the work, an initial legal framework will be provided to justify the existence of a consular post and the work carried out there, as well as a theoretical approach on the diplomatic and consular relations established between Portugal and Spain, which will be important to understand the characteristics and priority issues carried out by this unique alliance in the international community. In this context, there will be space not only for a description of the consulate itself, its structure and action, but also a detailed presentation of the activities carried out during the period that comprised the internship. In this way, and in order to articulate the professional experience with the Masters context and its teaching phase, the report will also have a thematic component dedicated to the question "The Mediterranean Corridor and its impact in the context of the European Union", which in a specific way and directed towards the work of the Consulate General, was the object of its attention during the internship period.
