Resumo: Objective is to present the influence of land use and occupancy on the appropriation of the surroundings of Regina Frigeri Furno Square in Vitória-ES. To achieve this, the case study was divided into three parts: the first seeks to establish and understand the periods of consolidation of the urban fabric in question; the second part corresponds to the morphological analysis of the immediate surroundings of the square; and finally, the third demonstrates the appropriation relationships of the public space with the buildings around the square. As a result, it was possible to demonstrate the initial research considerations, where commercial and service activities, alongside the constitution of the urban fabric itself, influenced the observed dynamics of public space appropriation.

O principal objetivo é apresentar a influência do uso e ocupação do solo na apropriação do entorno da praça Regina Frigeri Furno, em Vitória-ES. Para tanto, o estudo de caso divide-se em três partes, sendo que a primeira busca estabelecer e entender os períodos de consolidação do tecido urbano em questão; a segunda parte corresponde a análise tipo-morfológica do entorno imediato à praça; e, por fim, a terceira demonstra as relações de apropriação do espaço público com os edifícios do entorno da praça.
